Elements & Compounds: Collide
An element is a substance made up of a single component, while a compound contains at least two elements. This series of work explores the struggle we all face for individuality and the enhancement we go through being part of a bigger group or ideology. This series, as related to a human being, has created an organic network of line and shape within
an emotive appearance. This expression of self discovery and re-discovery is emphasised as we transform ourselves within different interactions.

Catalyst
Dedicated to my mother.
A catalyst is generally referred to as something that speeds up a reaction or chemical result. This piece deals with the start or origin of all nurture, knowledge and creativity and how it is passed on to a future generation. From the beginning to the end the initial spark always influences future actions.
Combustion.
Dedicated to my wife.
Combustion is a chemical reaction when fuel and air react to produce light and heat. This same reaction can also occur when a person with pure intent and creativity aims to make their mark in life with complete disregard of negativity and the status quo. This piece is about breaking free of expectation and rules in search of personal truth and beauty.
Conservation.
Dedicated to my mother in law.
Part of any conservation is the act of protection and preservation. This piece relates to the preservation of tradition, values and family and the matriarch that holds this conservation so dear.
